The International Congress PMI, organized by the Poland Chapter, marks a milestone that goes far beyond numbers – it is a celebration of people, projects, and passion. Over the past two decades, the Congress has grown into a premier platform where knowledge, innovation, and leadership meet. This jubilee edition is a perfect opportunity to look behind the scenes and explore how an event of this scale comes to life, fueled by dedication, teamwork, and the tireless efforts of volunteers.
Since its inception, the Congress has evolved from a forum primarily focused on project management methodologies into a dynamic platform that places people at the center of project success. Early editions taught participants how to plan, control, and deliver projects effectively, but over time it became clear that true project impact depends not only on processes but also on leadership, empathy, and the ability to inspire teams. Over the years, the Congress embraced digital transformation, data analysis, automation, and artificial intelligence, adapting its formats to meet changing realities. Notably, the 2020 edition was held entirely online, while the 2021 hybrid event seamlessly combined in-person and virtual participation, demonstrating the flexibility and resilience of the organizers. Recent editions have also explored social and ethical topics, with the Congress broadening its focus to include the social and ethical dimensions of project management, highlighting responsibility, sustainability, and team well-being, themes that complement its growing attention to technology and innovation. Across two decades, nearly 400 speakers from Poland and around the world have shared hundreds of hours of presentations, workshops, and panels, turning the Congress into a truly international hub for learning, inspiration, and networking.

Partners and Values That Drive the Congress
Our partners are an indispensable part of the Congress. Their collaboration ensures smooth execution, high-quality experiences for participants, and professional recognition for everyone involved. Together with volunteers, they form the backbone of the event, embodying the PMI values that guide us: “Together we can” and “Aim higher.” These principles foster openness, honesty, accountability, and trust, empowering volunteers to overcome challenges and maintain the high standards that define the Congress.
The values embraced by our community also include Vision, Passion, Growth, and Collaboration. We strive to be Poland’s leading project management community, inspiring one another to create something greater, beyond traditional project management. Volunteers and participants alike build knowledge, take responsibility, support one another, and nurture professional relationships, reflecting a shared commitment to success and continuous development.
Two Decades of Growth and Transformation
The 20th International Congress PMI Poland Chapter is more than an event, it is a journey through 20 years of growth, learning, and inspiration. From the early editions focused on technical methodologies to today’s emphasis on ethical leadership, digital transformation, and people-centered management, the Congress has continuously adapted to the evolving needs of its participants and the broader project management community. It remains a platform for dialogue, networking, and the exchange of ideas, demonstrating that effective project management is a blend of experience, creativity, and responsible leadership.
The 20th edition, held under the banner “People, Products, AI,” highlights the synergy between human talent, technology, and business value. In sessions focused on AI, speakers such as Michał Sadowski and Peter Ivanov explore how emerging technologies redefine collaboration, innovation, and the way we deliver value. Participants gain practical insights while also reflecting on the future of work and the evolving role of leaders. For many, the Congress is not only an educational experience but also a catalyst for personal and professional growth, a space to challenge one’s approach to management, connect with peers, and earn PDUs required for maintaining PMI certification.
